Overview
We are looking for someone to work in the Treasury Team in Hong Kong. This position sits within the Treasury team and focuses on managing liquidity, funding, and inventory optimization.
The role would be primarily focused on FICC financing, with the expectation that the candidate will broaden their skillset into other asset classes. Experience across multiple asset classes is preferred but not required. This role would require strong analytical skills, market awareness, and the ability to work closely with both external and internal stakeholders.
Principal Responsibilities
- Day to Day responsibilities would include working closely with the PMs trading APAC markets, regularly provide clear, concise updates to stakeholders on market movements, liquidity conditions, and funding opportunities.
- For new PMs being onboarded, the role would involve sharing the firm’s Portfolio Finance and Repo capabilities.
- External Relations: The role would involve speaking with and maintaining relations with Prime Brokers to drive Treasury needs across different products
- Close partnership with Treasury Technology and Trading Operations to enhance current processes and systems.
- Internal Collaboration with the wider Treasury team, Central Trading Desk and Operations to coordinate firm wide efforts.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- APAC FICC Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of APAC fixed income markets, knowledge in Rates and EMs desirable
- Experience: 3-5 years sell-side or buy-side experience from prime/financing/repo
- APAC Equity Knowledge: Understanding of APAC securities lending, equity swaps and regulations. (preferred but not required)
- Technical Proficiency: Excel, and ideally exposure to programming (Python/VBA) for automation.
- Team Player: Cultivate strong relationships internally and externally. Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret market data, assess funding options, and optimize financing structures.
- Strong Communication: Clear and effective interaction with traders, counterparties, and internal teams. Able to prioritize different tasks in a fast-paced environment
