This is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a Regional Innovation Centre at Singapore Azelis. This lab serves as the technical hub for satellite application labs in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

The ideal candidate will be an innovative, driven and hands-on food technologist who has experience in developing and delivering products & concepts. This position will work with concepts in labs in Bakery/ Confectionery areas to develop formulations and products to meet the customers’ needs. The position will also assist in Beverage applications as per need.

The Technical Application Executive is responsible for the development and management of formulation projects to bring customers innovative solutions, and speed to market support for the Food & Nutrition (F&N) market. It is the Technical Application Executive’s responsibility to acquire and maintain a deep understanding of the target market including, but not limited to, market intelligence, trends, needs and opportunities relevant to Azelis’ s existing/new products and services we offer. This is a hands-on lab bench position that requires clear technical thinking, consistent focus on safety, good communication skills, and enthusiastic collaboration. The Asia Pacific Technical Application Executive reports directly to the Asia Pacific Technical Application Manager.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the general working for Bakery and Confectionary labs:

• Independently perform standard and modified lab test procedures for various chemical products and formulations;

• Collaborate in the development of new test procedures;

• Record, interpret, and report lab results in verbal and written form;

• Collaborate with supervisor, colleagues, customers and principals in planning follow-up work;

• Maintain lab equipment in good working order and proper calibration with guidance from supervisor, manufacturer and others.

• Design and develop product prototypes aligned with customer-specific technical service projects for F&N market expansion:

• Discover product features and prototype developments to introduce new concepts to clients;

• Knowledge of the product portfolio and its application. Optimize existing recipes to meet the growing needs of the market;

• Technical discussions with business team, principals & clients;

• Deliver on Innovation Key Performance Indicators for Bakery and Confectionary segment, support for Beverage

• Support APAC Sales and Marketing teams

• Support application trials in Labs and if needed, at client sites

• Send samples & follow up on the feedback.

• Resolve customer queries and follow up with customers

• Maintain technical pipeline in system through continuous updates
