How will you make a difference? 

Reporting to the Senior Director, Tax, in this role you will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all tax filings and will need to work closely with Finance and external providers. You will cover both commercial and technical aspects including responsibilities comprising of compliance related to ad-hoc advisory work.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Support External Tax provider with regards to tax compliance work and be the interface between finance teams in the Region for the collection and analysis of financial data, legal documents and other relevant information required for local tax return filings.
  • Support in planning and project work, including reviewing optimized legal structures for commercial deals.
  • Support all Transfer Pricing matters, including review of TPD, CbCR notifications, Public CbC and local file obligations.
  • Support the business on key projects as well as ad-hoc tax queries, including transfer pricing.
  • Primary support for tax audits/reviews within region and work with business finance teams to prepare for audits.
  • Working with external tax providers to support the accurate and timely preparation of the tax provision and deferred taxes for the local statutory accounts and US GAAP reporting.
  • Review all Tax filings prepared by external tax providers, including CIT, VAT/GST, FBT and other tax compliance filings (including Pillar 2), as well as any statutory tax disclosures for Statutory Audit.
  • Ensuring accuracy & adequacy of business' tax reporting processes by evaluating relevant internal policies and procedures.
  • Recommending improvement to tax systems and controls. Support Justified Trust and Tax Governance Measures.
  • Work closely with the External Tax provider, Regional Tax Leaders and Global tax controllership teams to ensure consistency in process, risk and outcomes.

Qualifications

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Commerce or Accounting
  • CA, CPA or Masters of Tax
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ work experience in tax in a Global MNC/Business or Big 4 firm
  • Good communication skills and proven ability to develop strong professional relationships with internal and external parties
  • Professional interpersonal and relationship skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to technically discuss with Regional Tax, Global Tax Controllership team, our local Corporate CIT providers and Auditors where necessary.
  • Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and accounting packages (Oracle and Sage Preferable)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
