What You’ll Do on a Typical Day :

The Regional Manager of Travel for Meetings [T4M] – APAC is a critical leadership role within the Meetings & Events team at American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT), focusing on strategic growth and team management in the Asia-Pacific region. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills, capable of driving growth in the Travel for Meetings vertical across the APAC region. Key highlights of the role include:

Strategic Responsibilities:

• Drive vertical strategy for T4M solutions in the APAC region with a focus on group air solutions for customers

• Align global and regional business strategies

• Determine priorities and goals

Team Management:

• Lead and manage T4M Planners [3-5 supporting the different APAC markets based in India]

• Team engagement and development

• Provide leadership and professional growth opportunities

Revenue and business growth:

• Client retention - manage and grow existing account portfolio across APAC countries.

• Support contract negotiation and implementation

• Conduct business reviews with clients and internal teams

Financial Oversight:

• Deliver on revenue and margin targets

• Business performance tracking

Relationship Management:

• Establish strong relationships with client-side stakeholders

• Collaborate with internal teams to drive cross sell and customer success

What We're Looking For :

• Minimum college degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Demonstrated ability in Meetings & Events, Business Travel, or related industries.

• 10+ years of shown people management experience in a diverse, global, and matrixed organization.

• Strong business communication skills in the English language.

• Knowledge of M&E-related technologies (like, Cvent) and their relevance and application in support of a global strategic meetings program will be an advantage.

• Excellent strategic, problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.

• Ability to travel by airplane, boat, rail and/or car.
