The APAC IT Manager acts as the key regional lead for all IT operations across APAC, serving as the main liaison between corporate IT and local business teams. This role ensures alignment on infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and digital initiatives, while leading the regional service desk and enforcing global IT standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to drive regional IT success and support strategic growth.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary IT contact and escalation point for the APAC region across all technical domains – infrastructure, applications, digital, cybersecurity, etc. Responsible for ensuring that all regional IT needs are understood, met, and communicated.
- Guides regional IT service desk team; accountable for adhering to service desk KPIs for APAC region.
- Tightly integrates with corporate IT to understand changes being made that may impact their region and cascades communication as appropriate.
- Engages with key regional stakeholders to understand and document their needs, share and support prioritization within corporate IT, and provide regular updates on progress.
- Communicates regional needs to corporate IT and serves as the primary communication conduit for local projects.
- Maintains APAC-relevant projects and enhancements within the global IT portfolio.
- Ensures that corporate IT standards are enforced within the APAC region.
- Adheres to IT Change management governance model.
- Takes command and owns to resolution any regional IT operational crisis or critical incident by influencing/escalating across service owners to resolve service interruptions.
- Develops a deep understanding of regional needs and proactively makes recommendations on where technology can add value.
