The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
We are looking for one Compliance Manager to join our APAC Ethics & Compliance(E&C) Team who will operationalize the E&C program for the APAC operations and ensure compliance risk is appropriately mitigated. This role requires collaboration with colleagues in different geographies and functions and support of E&C-wide initiatives. This individual is expected to become the E&C subject matter expert of Korea and further support E&C program efforts in other assigned businesses and/or countries within APAC. As a Compliance Manager for APAC, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Operationalizing and implementing the E&C compliance program in Korea and other assigned businesses and/or countries within APAC through developing and deploying local training, guidance, risk assessments and communications on key E&C policies, processes, and the Solventum Code of Conduct;
- Proactively identify compliance risks and work with the business team and E&C to mitigate such risks. Reviews and approves high-risk transactions such as conflicts of interest, third-party due diligence and business courtesies (pre-approval and post-activity monitoring).
- Stewarding compliance governance processes in the Area to ensure leaders are setting the right tone, compliance has visibility to business strategies, and key compliance initiatives are being cascaded.
- Monitoring key compliance metrics and develop action plans or strategies to address opportunities identified from the metrics, investigations and compliance audits.
- Acting as the point-of-contact for employees who have compliance questions and responding to those questions, or directing employees to the right resources to address the concern or question.
- Acting as the compliance expert and providing leadership and oversight working directly with the business functions to ensure accurate and timely reporting per the Korean Sunshine Act (transparency) requirements.
- This role will report to APAC E&C leader based in China.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Ten (10) years of experience working in a public or private environment in the fields of ethics and compliance, law, finance, audit, or other roles involved with company governance processes.
- Fluent in Korean and English is required. Being fluent in Japanese is preferred but not a requirement.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience working in multinational companies in healthcare or the life sciences industry is desirable
- Expert on Korean Sunshine Act transparency reporting and creating an internal process to meet the government requirement
- A trusted advisor on anti-bribery principles, Korean KMDIA code, Japan Fair Competition Code, APACMed Code, AdvaMed Code and so on.
- Independent worker, self-motivated, problem solver with ability to handle ambiguity, deal with key stakeholders and overcome obstacles
- Demonstrated leadership, project management and execution skills
- Self-starter with continuous improvement mindset and lean thinking; recognizing opportunities to drive improvements and taking initiative to deliver
- Experience collaborating with multiple functions and countries; ability to influence divergent positions into a common standard
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Knowledge and experience using Excel, Power Point, Power Bi and MS Word
