The AP Trade Compliance Assistant Manager oversees compliance with Customs and Trade regulations in APAC, provides regulatory advice, manages trade risks, and collaborates with various departments. They ensure proper maintenance of customs records and support trade compliance initiatives, while developing strategies for export control and managing claims or disputes.

- Develop and implement export control strategies (risk management, screening analysis etc.) to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations;
- Involve in internal trade compliance assessment program; and
- Provide support to other trade compliance programs (e.g., FTA, AEO, HS classification).

Experience and Education Requirements:
- At least 8 years of experience in the fields of international trade and logistics, import and export.
- At least 4 years of experience in company or law firm advising on trade compliance
- Bachelor’s Degree Required (Master’s Degree Preferred) (Preferably majored in International trade or any other relevant fields)
- High level of fluency in English (additional language skills are always a plus)
- Proficiency with data analysis and Microsoft Business Applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience in the Customs Consulting field or law firm advising on trade compliance would be plus but not a must (or any other experience relevant to Customs, such as experience in working with customs clearance or with relevant customs officials)
- Knowledge in international trade, customs, related laws and practices
- For Customs Consulting: Experience in: Customs audit, FTA origin verification, import requirements, refund for raw materials for export goods, customs exemption, origin, customs valuation and HS classifications, prepare forms and documents needed for customs declaration, customs health check etc.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Fast learner with strong sense of responsibility
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexible for business travels
