Who You’ll Work With:

This position will report to a Director of Investment Operations but will also require close working relationships across the firm.

What You’ll Do:

Operational Management – 75%

  • Provide day-to-day support for investment transactions
  • Engage with and interpret detailed investment transaction legal documents
  • Drive the set-up of new deal structures, and manage existing deal structures,
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of booking transactions in AB CarVal’s systems
  • Prepare and manage reporting and analysis
  • Research and resolve complex issues related to transactions and processes
  • Assist in developing operational procedures to support business activities
  • Assist with transaction valuations and treasury liquidity requirements and projections
  • Respond to internal and external queries regarding transactions, bookings, and reconciliations
  • Assist with invoice and deal expense processing

Business Partnering – 25%

  • Collaborate with external accountants, tax advisers and auditors
  • Provide input on transaction documentation and collaborate with internal legal, risk, and compliance when needed
  • Utilize judgment in making decisions related to the investment operations function and assume responsibility for the impact to the business
  • Understand key areas of the business and anticipate potential issues; proactively communicate solutions to others within the team or management

Required:

  • Qualified Accountant (1 – 5 years’ post qualified experience)
  • Good Excel skills including data modelling and analysis
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
