Who You’ll Work With:
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Client Infrastructure Services team within Global Technology & Operations. This role will support Bernstein’s Wealth Planning Tools, including the firm’s Wealth Forecasting System (WFS), a sophisticated, patent-pending investment-planning tool that helps guide clients toward the appropriate long-term asset allocation.
In this role, you will partner with Private Wealth client service professionals to identify opportunities for technology to drive efficiency and growth within Private Wealth Management. You will collaborate closely with technology, design, and business sponsors to redesign and modernize the legacy WFS application, while also supporting ongoing maintenance and system updates. You will help define, prioritize, test, and deliver enhancements and releases.
What You’ll Do:
Lead stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, clarify priorities, and produce clear documentation.
Partner with UI/UX, engineering, and Private Wealth stakeholders to convert client and advisor needs into clear, actionable work items.
Help create and prioritize backlogs with Product Owner(s), including identifying dependencies and risks.
Contribute to interface and process design by collaborating with development teams through implementation.
Validate functionality through reviews, testing, and stakeholder sign-off.
Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion.
Simplify complex business problems through structured analysis and practical solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a business analyst.
Background in Agile environments, with a comprehensive understanding of Scrum roles and responsibilities.
Proficient in drafting user stories containing clear, actionable, and testable acceptance criteria for developers and QA teams.
Exceptional planning, organizational, and time-management abilities demonstrated through successful management of multiple projects and deadlines.
Effective communication skills across written, verbal, and presentation formats.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills coupled with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
Effective documentation capabilities, including the aptitude to visually map complex process flows.
Proven expertise in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and business partners, exhibiting a high degree of ownership and follow-through.
Self-motivated, able to work independently or collaboratively within a team, and adept at rapidly acquiring knowledge of new business areas.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Experience with Jira and Confluence (or comparable tools) for Agile project management and documentation (preferred).
Understanding of high-quality user experience and functionality (preferred).
Knowledge of wealth and estate planning (preferred).
Experience leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance business analyst functions (a plus).
