GMF is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Anodize Finisher to join our team at our Valdese, NC facility.

This position is responsible for preparing and processing customer parts through the anodizing process while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. Previous anodizing, metal finishing, or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and count incoming parts and complete required paperwork associated with purchase orders and jobs.
  • Clean and prepare parts for anodizing.
  • Load parts onto racks for processing.
  • Safely operate a hoist to move racks and parts through the anodizing process.
  • Unload completed parts and prepare them for the next stage of production. Inspect, clean, and package finished parts as needed.
  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining proper chemical levels and bath conditions according to established procedures.
  • Assist with adding chemicals to processing tanks when required and properly trained.
  • Safely work around corrosive materials while following established chemical-handling and safety procedures..
  • Maintain cleanliness of processing equipment and surrounding work areas.
  • Follow production schedules while adjusting priorities when production needs change.
  • Assist other areas of production as needed based on workload.

Qualifications:

  • Previous anodizing, metal finishing, or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness and ability to safely work around chemicals and corrosive materials.
  • Ability to follow chemical-handling and workplace safety procedures at all times.
  • Previous hoist experience preferred; training may be provided.
  • Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately count and track parts.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and good attendance.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a production environment while following established safety procedures.

This position involves working with chemicals used in the anodizing process, including corrosive materials. Employees are required to follow all established chemical-handling and safety procedures.
