Reliance Standard is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and collaborative Annuity Associate to join our dynamic Intake team. This individual will be responsible for processing new annuity applications, ensuring data accuracy, entering case files, and supporting various administrative functions. The role plays a vital part in maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting service excellence, and contributing to the successful entering of annuity contracts. Meet or exceed department service level agreements (SLAs) for application intake and processing.

Duties & Responsibilities:
 

Application Processing

  • Receive and conduct an initial review of new annuity applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

  • Enter application data into the annuity administration system (FAST).

  • Deposit annuity premium checks daily and track incoming funds.

  • Input and validate suitability review data in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.

  • Follow up with agents, advisors, and internal and external customers to resolve missing or incomplete application information.
     

File & Case Management

  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing practices in compliance with our standards.
     

 Administrative Support

  • Assist with the preparation, review, and mailing of finalized annuity contracts.

  • Support processing of contract changes and service requests.

  • Serve as backup for mailroom functions, including processing incoming/outgoing mail, faxes, and overnight deliveries.

  • Ensure high standards of data integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy are maintained at all times.
     

 Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with other departments such as New Business, Document Management, and Operations to ensure smooth intake and case setup.

  • Monitor and stay up to date with current annuity products, market trends, and regulatory updates.

  • Recommend improvements to workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

  • Identify and escalate complex issues or discrepancies to management.
     

Miscellaneous

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and/or Related Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.

  • Understanding of annuity products and features preferred.

  • Experience with data entry and case processing in a high-volume financial services setting is a plus.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information with integrity.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.

  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and support process changes.

Ability to Travel: Up to 10%


 

The expected hiring range for this position is $20.79 - $25.98 hourly for work performed in the primary location (Philadelphia, PA). This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.


Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
