We are looking for a skilled Mobile Android Developer to take ownership of our existing Android application and lead its evolution. This is a critical role that blends maintenance with strategic development, offering the opportunity to shape the future of our mobile platform.

As a mobile software developer, you will work closely with our PO and developers to create engaging user experiences and robust, scalable mobile applications.

• Collaborate with product owners and other developers to build high-quality mobile applications and SDKs.

• Plan and lead the transition from a hybrid Cordova/Capacitor-based app to a fully native Android application.
• Maintain and support the current Android applications.
• Design and implement native Android features using Kotlin or Java.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for the Android application.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers.
• Stay up to date with the latest mobile development trends and technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Android mobile development using Kotlin or Java
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, UI/UX design principles, and Google Play Store deployment.
• Experience with hybrid mobile frameworks, particularly Cordova and Capacitor (and optionally Ionic).
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Android app architecture components (MVVM, LiveData, Room, etc.).
• Experience with Git and other software development tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of Java is a plus.
• Familiarity with software design patterns and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.

• Experience migrating apps from hybrid to native.
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards (e.g., FIPS, FedRAMP).
• Experience with mobile device management (MDM) environments or enterprise deployments.
• Familiarity with Firebase, push notifications, and analytics tools.
