Project OverviewIn this role, you will join a high-impact team focused on delivering premium mobile experiences. You will be responsible for developing and refining native Android applications that are as robust as they are intuitive. The project emphasizes modern UI patterns and efficient data fetching, requiring a developer who is comfortable navigating the intersection of sleek frontend design and complex backend integrations. As a Senior Android Developer, you will ensure our mobile ecosystem remains scalable, testable, and performant.
Key Responsibilities- Native Development: Architect and build high-quality native Android applications using the latest industry standards.
- Modern UI Implementation: Create responsive and fluid user interfaces leveraging Jetpack Compose.
- API Integration: Design and implement efficient data communication layers using GraphQL for complex query handling.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure application stability by writing comprehensive automated tests using Espresso and specialized Compose UI testing frameworks.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively track app performance and stability using Crashlytics to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Database Management: Work with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases to ensure seamless data persistence.
- Android Mastery: Senior-level experience in Native Android development with a deep understanding of the Android SDK.
- Jetpack Compose: Strong proficiency in modern declarative UI development.
- GraphQL Expertise: Proven experience managing GraphQL API calls, schema navigation, and query optimization.
- Testing Excellence: Hands-on experience with Espresso Testing and Compose UI testing to ensure code reliability.
- Data Proficiency: Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Fluent English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for daily technical collaboration.
- Crashlytics Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Firebase Crashlytics for advanced debugging and error reporting.
- Mobile DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile deployments (e.g., Bitrise, GitHub Actions).
- Architecture Patterns: Familiarity with MVVM or MVI architectures in a reactive environment.
This role is 100% remote from LATAM and requires consistent overlap with teams in Central Time (CT). Flexibility is expected to accommodate key ceremonies, stand-ups, and collaborative sessions within Central US business hours.
