Position Overview:  

The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is currently filling positions throughout Indianapolis and surrounding areas for our Before and After School programs.  SITE DIRECTORS are responsible for the management and leadership of the program.  This includes developing a staff team, providing behavior management support for students, maintaining communication between staff and families in the program, and creating innovative, inclusive lesson plans to help students learn and grow every day. They help in fostering social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth along with demonstrate the core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, and respect with program participants. This position requires high levels of organization, energy, and fun.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • At least 21 years of age
  • 2-4 years’ experience working directly with children
  • Recognize the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical milestones youth experience during their journey from birth to adolescence
  • Experience in supervising children, staff, and handling conflict situations with parents and staff
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining positive relationships

Skills Required

  • At least 21 years of age
  • 2-4 years' experience working directly with children
