Anchor/Multi-Media Journalist
KTXL FOX40 in Sacramento, California, is looking for a dynamic journalist with a passion for news and the ability to connect with audiences across every platform. We're searching for an engaging communicator to join our team as an anchor for both our broadcast and digital products.
This is a true working anchor position. In addition to anchoring, you'll create original content for our CTV app, fill in across our strong anchor team, and report in the field when you're not at the desk. We're looking for someone who thrives on breaking news, enterprise reporting, and storytelling that makes an impact.
The ideal candidate is a newsroom leader who comes to editorial meetings with actionable story ideas developed through a strong network of sources and a commitment to original journalism. You should be equally comfortable delivering breaking news, producing digital content, and cultivating stories that matter to our community.

Job description:
- Anchor newscasts as assigned.
- Write anchor/reporter pkgs when needed
- Anchor/co-produce a digital newscast
- Assists in writing, copy editing, researching, and coordinating news content.
- Acts as a field reporter as assigned.
- Participates in promotional activities including public appearances.
Requirements & Skills:
- 2 years TV news reporting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required.
- Flexibility to work any shift.
- Compensation - $75,000+ commensurate with experience and skill level
