Pay Range: $84,250+ per year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsible for managing operations and laboratory for a small practice, or as second in command for a large practice. Develops protocol, implements procedures, solves employee and client issues in conjunction with Director. Manages operations portion for a larger facility with responsibilities over several business functions. Responsibilities- Manages laboratory reporting workflow, maintains staffing levels to accommodate the workload, and monitors employee performance.
- Provides assistance in feedback to managers and personnel related to performance review and staffing issues.
- Manages the planning and development for new laboratory services and expansion of current services.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and develops and establishes measures to improve efficiency and performance of services
- Recommends, develops and establishes measures to improve the quality of services provided by the practice.
- Develops and implements pro-active changes to improve laboratory performance and efficiency.
- Assesses new techniques, procedures, and instrumentation; attend professional meetings and remain appraised of changes in the field.
- Ensures that plans and strategies to support research efforts are maintained.
- Prepares reports and keeps upper-level management informed of progress and problems.
- Records and monitors laboratory quality assurance and quality control, taking appropriate action as needed. Maintains all necessary documentation and current logs
- Conducts laboratory informational and training meetings, including compliance and safety.
- Perform and/or coordinate the identification, development, implementation, and maintenance of organization information privacy policies and procedures in coordination with the privacy officer.
- Coordinate with all applicable resources including legal counsel, management, key departments, and committees to ensure the organization has and maintains appropriate forms and notices.
- Assesses new techniques, procedures, and instrumentation; attend professional meetings and remain appraised of changes in the field.
- Maintains knowledge of technical and clerical procedures and ensures delivery of such by laboratory personnel.
- Monitors and maintains supplies’ expense, usage and inventory.
- Manages vendor relationships and negotiates pricing.
- Responsible for both personnel and facility licensure is kept current at all times.
- Maintains and coordinates credentialing with Licensure/Credentialing Specialist.
- Documents and completes all special projects in a timely fashion.
- Assist in preparation of laboratory inspections
- Complies with all State, Federal, professional regulations as well as department rules, polices, and procedural manuals.
- Adherence to Safety Regulations.
- Adherence to HIPAA Regulations.
- Process and maintain applications and fees for renewing facility licensure, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) numbers, College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation and city and county occupational licenses.

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical medicine, surgery, diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology, pharmacology and the various medical specialties as required in areas of responsibility. Knowledge of licensure process.

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work as a team and under pressure with time constraints.
