Aspora is building a Financial Services platform for immigrants around the world. We are backed by influential venture capitalists like Sequoia Capital, Hummingbird Ventures, Y Combinator, Global Founders Capital, Soma Capital, and are on a mission to simplify global banking as easily as booking an Uber.

We’re first taking on the Indian diaspora - the largest and wealthiest immigrant population. 15 million Non-Resident Indians hold over $1.5T in wealth of which $500B is back in India. They remit $125B back every year and account for 25% of all real estate purchases in India. Yet, the banking experiences of these NRIs are archaic. We’re building a new age platform to service these NRIs with cross border money movement.

About the Role

As a Data Analyst at Aspora, you will play a pivotal role in building the foundation of our analytics function. You will set up analytics as a central function, empowering teams across the organization with actionable insights. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of data and strategy, using your analytical expertise to solve real-world business problems, drive product decisions, and enhance our overall growth trajectory.

Location: Bangalore || 5 days in-office for better collaboration

What You’ll Own

• Use data to uncover insights and solve real-world challenges that directly impact business outcomes.

• Translate complex data into simple, actionable insights, helping stakeholders connect the dots.

• Partner with Product, Growth, Engineering, Business and Operations to align goals and deliver impact.

• Leverage tools like Python, R, SQL, and Tableau to analyze data and create visualizations that inform strategy.

• Build dashboards, set up metrics, and ensure the right data is accessible to the right people at the right time.

• Lay the foundation for a central analytics team, creating frameworks and processes that drive decisions.

What We Need

• Passion for analytics, strong first-principle thinking, and a relentless drive to apply data to business decisions

• High ownership mindset with the ability to build from scratch and scale analytics functions.

• 4-6 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in a product-driven startup or consumer tech company.

• Expertise in Python, R, SQL, and familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlikview.

• Clear communicator who can distill complex insights into actionable strategies.

• Ability to coordinate with diverse teams and align goals for shared success.

• Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, and adapts quickly to changing priorities.

Interview Process

1. Exploratory Call (30 mins) – Discussion with the recruiter to understand your background, motivations, and alignment with Aspora.

2. Experience Deep Dive + Core Competency (60 mins) – Conversation with the hiring manager to assess your analytical experience, problem-solving approach, and technical expertise.

3. Problem-Solving Round (120 mins) – Work with us on executing solutions to two problem statements to understand your execution and approach better

4. Bar Raiser Round (60 mins) – Final conversation with the founder to assess alignment with Aspora’s values, mindset, and vision.
