We at Coforge are hiring Analytics Platform Engineer with the following skill set.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and support the operational layer of the analytics platform, ensuring reliability, stability, and performance of data pipelines.
- Manage on-call activities, including incident triage, root cause analysis, escalation, resolution, and documentation of production issues.
- Maintain and optimize Apache Airflow DAGs, scheduling, dependencies, and orchestration across bronze, staging, intermediate, and mart data layers.
- Own and improve dbt CI/CD processes, including GitHub Actions workflows, testing, deployment, and build performance monitoring.
- Monitor and optimize dbt models and Snowflake workloads, improving query performance, materialization strategies, and platform efficiency.
- Maintain platform configurations, data quality frameworks, runbooks, and governance processes, including PII/data classification support.
- Collaborate with Analytics Engineering teams to scope work, support platform-impacting changes, and ensure seamless data platform operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with dbt Core in production environments, including materialization strategies, project configuration, and performance optimization.
- Advanced SQL proficiency, preferably with Snowflake, including query tuning and performance analysis.
- Expertise in Apache Airflow, including DAG development, dependency management, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data platforms, using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data orchestration, and layered data architectures (bronze/staging, intermediate, mart).
- Experience with data quality frameworks, dbt testing, custom validations, alerting, and production support.
- Working knowledge of AWS services supporting data pipelines, such as S3, Lambda, and IAM.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in data platform, analytics infrastructure, or data engineering environments.
- Previous experience in data platform support, analytics infrastructure, or platform operations rather than business-focused analytics engineering.
- Knowledge of query profiling, cost optimization, and performance tuning within Snowflake and dbt ecosystems.
- Experience handling production incident management, on-call support, and platform reliability initiatives.
- Exposure to PII governance, data classification, and data management best practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up and take ownership of platform operations.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with experience contributing to project scoping and cross-functional planning.
