About Caribou

At Caribou, we care about giving people financial freedom so they can focus on what’s most important to them. Today, less than two percent of Americans refinance their auto loans despite drastic increases in the cost of new and used cars. We see huge potential to help folks reduce their monthly auto expenses, as well as increase the predictability of those expenses over time. We do this by building technology to pair customers with community banks and credit unions, and ushering them through the process quickly. On average, our drivers save $115/month on their car loans while protecting their investment long term.

Caribou is led by leaders from the technology, automotive, and finance industries. We’re proud to be backed by a great team of investors, including QED Investors, Goldman Sachs, Moderne Ventures, Accomplice, Link Ventures, Motley Fool Ventures and others.

About the Role

Caribou is looking for an Analytics Manager to be a strategic thought partner to our Product, Marketing, and Ops teams, helping ensure that Caribou leverages data and analytics to effectively measure performance, identify areas of opportunity, and elevate our approach to our digital product and acquisition channels. You will not only report on the performance of our digital product, but you’ll also independently and proactively provide novel analysis and thought leadership to Product and Marketing executives. This role will:

  • Work with Product & Engineering on our data strategy for our data capture, data storage, and data reporting tools.
  • Own our marketing and digital attribution methodology, ensuring we can tie every lead to a marketing channel
  • Identify and analyze areas of opportunity and inefficiency in the business, and help communicate that to the team - from individual contributors to managers to senior execs.
  • Partner with functional teams to provide analytical inputs to their decision making, build dashboards for key KPIs, create business cases, and evaluate performance.
  • Find opportunities for analytics to improve our processes and deploy solutions such as marketing attribution and lead scoring models.
  • Ensure that data and analytics are factored into all strategic thinking and decision making for current and future opportunities.

This role can be based out of our Caribou office in Denver, CO. Alternatively, this role may work remotely from a state where Caribou operates with a preference for the Chicago, IL, Denver, CO or San Francisco, CA markets.* This role may require attendance at occasional in-person team meetings.
