Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and Advise: Partner with business teams and stakeholders to collect requirements, define analytics outcomes, and build foundational data models and dashboards. You'll serve as a data modeling and visualization expert, assisting all teams by delivering high-impact dashboards built on scalable data models.
- Develop and Maintain Data Models: Design, develop, and maintain scalable dbt models to advance our data maturity. This includes ensuring a single source of truth, keeping data sources fresh as requirements evolve, and maintaining our data dictionary.
- Ensure Quality and Governance: Write SQL that meets internal standards for structure and quality. You'll maintain these standards through code reviews and peer-reviewing database and data model schema changes.
- Empower Stakeholders: Encourage internal adoption and self-sufficiency of stakeholders in Tableau through documentation, training, and dashboard organization.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of proven experience in the data space as an analyst or analytics engineer.
- 3+ years designing and implementing commercial enterprise dimensional models and working with large-scale (1B+ rows) cloud data warehouses.
- Hands-on experience building, testing, and maintaining data models in dbt
- Expertise with SQL, including advanced techniques (ex. window functions, common table expressions, UDFs, etc.) for data investigation and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization in Tableau
- Solid project management skills, including planning work, managing details, and navigating ambiguity to deliver results with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Enthusiasm for conducting reproducible analysis, including code reviews, version control, and robust documentation.
