The People Analytics team within Robinhood’s Data Science organization plays a critical role in transforming data into strategic insights. We build foundational data products that support product development, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Our mission is to empower teams across Robinhood with trustworthy, scalable, and self-serve analytics infrastructure. We collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and actionable.

As an Analytics Engineer for the People Analytics team, you will drive the development and maintenance of high-performance dashboards that advise business decisions, build prescriptive analytics solutions, and enable stakeholders through data literacy, self-service tools, and education. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to define metrics, curate datasets, and surface insights that advise business decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise paired with excellent interpersonal skills, with a drive for advancing our reporting capabilities to the next level. This role is based in our [Menlo Park, CA] office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least [3/4/5] days per week.

What you’ll do
  • Collaborate with diverse teams for People Analytics projects, crafting dashboards, defining metrics, improving processes, and reporting.
  • Support prescriptive analytics initiatives using established data tooling
  • Contribute to user enablement by creating training materials, providing onboarding sessions, and coaching stakeholders on how to interpret and act on insights.
  • Support data hygiene initiatives by preparing clean, accurate reporting foundations.
  • Work alongside data scientists and analysts to translate raw data into clean, usable datasets for analysis and reporting.
  • Participate in team efforts to improve data documentation, promote analytics best practices, and support a self-serve data culture across stakeholder groups.
What you bring
  • At least 1 year of experience (including internships or professional settings) in Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering.
  • Proven understanding of SQL and basic Python scripting for data analysis and transformation
  • Experience in maintenance of ETL pipelines and an understanding of modern data development workflows.
  • Proven track record to build, maintain, and iterate on dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or Superset, with a strong focus on usability, adoption, and performance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain dashboards and data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A curious and proactive approach, eager to grasp business requirements and support data-driven solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with People data, processes and sources (Greenhouse, Workday) is a plus
  • Experience creating data dictionaries, establishing standardized metrics, and maintaining data quality frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience onboarding stakeholders to dashboards, improving data literacy, and driving actionable use of insights is a plus.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
