JOB SUMMARY:
Adams Outdoor Advertising (AOA), the 4th largest and largest private Outdoor Advertising firm in the U.S., is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build, maintain, and optimize the data infrastructure that powers business insights.
You will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, timely availability, and accessibility for reporting and analytics. The position requires advanced SQL skills, experience with dbt, and the ability to work closely with sales and finance teams to provide training on how to use our data tools to drive data-informed decisions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE:
- Build and maintain data pipelines in dbt to ensure accurate, timely, and accessible data for analytics and reporting.
- Create and maintain Tableau dashboards that deliver actionable insights and data visualizations for various teams.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop solutions for complex data challenges, including predictive analytics and advanced reporting.
- Write and optimize advanced SQL scripts to automate complex data processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in alignment with business objectives.
- Train finance and IT analysts on how to use SQL to analyze data in our Snowflake warehouse.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to the data processes and tools to meet evolving business needs.
- Support cross-functional teams by providing data insights and solutions as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2 - 7 years of experience in a data operations role with a focus on dbt, SQL, and data visualization tools.
- Advanced SQL skills, with a proven ability to script and automate data processes.
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in dbt.
- Proficiency with Tableau (or a similar tool) for creating visualizations and delivering actionable insights.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
