The Role

We are looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to bring our data to life through the creation of well-structured analytic data models, reports, dashboards and data products, in our Azure-based BI & Analytics environment, enabling business stakeholders to derive high-value insights.  

The successful candidate will combine the skills, analytical mindset and practices of data analysts to understand business dynamics with strong technical data skills in data modelling; to apply those insights through the creation of data models, reports and products.  

You’ll be working with a strong international team based across Europe and Africa, so the ability to collaborate across physical and cultural boundaries will be very important, as will the ability to operate in a very fast-moving environment to deliver value quickly and in an agile fashion.  

 What you need for this role:  

  •  2-3 years experience of designing, implementing and optimising complex analytical datasets and data models 
  • Experience using Power Bi to turn data into powerful visual aids and dashboards. 
  • Skills in some or all the following Microsoft BI stack, DAX, MDX, T-SQL, Python 
  • Excellent communications skills and problem-solving abilities 

 It would be great if you had experience with:  

  • Experience with tableau and Tableau editor  
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Azure data services (Delta and Databricks)

  • Develop innovative data products and advanced visualisations for actionable insights 
  • Experience producing enterprise-grade data modelling and analytics solutions 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align data solutions with business needs 
  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing complex data projects 
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into data models and analytics solutions 
  • Experience with data governance principles and implementing best practices 
  • Proven track record of managing multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment
