What is this role about?
Join Bondora as an Analytics Engineer, where your role will be instrumental in supporting and enabling our data team to work more efficiently and effectively. While the true value of your contributions may be difficult to quantify, your efforts will undoubtedly result in significant time savings for the entire organization. As an analytics engineer, you will be crucial in improving the quality of life for all those working with data by creating curated datasets, tackling technical challenges such as data modeling, code quality assurance, and maintaining our data transformation pipeline. Your expertise will ensure that software engineering best practices are applied to analytics tasks, empowering the team to leverage tools more proficiently and enhancing overall productivity.
What would ensure success in this role?
- Be fluent in SQL and in Python'
- Strong working experience with dbt is a big plus
- Have experience in data transformations and modeling using SQL, Python, dbt, etc., and building reporting layers for BI tools.
- Be familiar with version control systems like GitHub, Azure DevOps, GitLab, etc.
- Have data visualization experience with tools such as Looker, Tableau, etc.
- Understand methodologies to build a data warehouse, including Kimball, Data Vault, OBT.
- Have experience using cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake), which is advantageous.
- Be able to work independently and make decisions autonomously.
- Embrace a strong team player mentality, collaborating effectively with colleagues.
