The Analytics Engineer is at the forefront of leveraging data to shape the business’s strategic decisions and bring data-driven products to market. Reporting to the Head of Economics & Data Science, this role will be primarily responsible for the design, delivery, and management of a commercial quality reporting suite for game developers on the Mythical Platform. We are pathfinders, developing the first sustainable, mass-market open economy games supported by blockchain technology - and we need someone to build the data products that will ensure our clients make the right decisions to succeed in this exciting new world. Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about data, knows how to build robust pipelines, has great attention to detail, and a knack for designing visualizations where insights jump off the page
The candidate will be based in Europe and will be required to communicate with colleagues in fluent Ukrainian and English.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, improve and expand the set of interactive dashboards and models that power decision making for all games on the Mythical platform
- Assess, integrate, analyze, and build pipelines for new sources of internal and external data
- Meticulously own the business logic for key performance metrics and drive consistency standards across the organization
- Research and implement AI advancements that automate the generation of analytical insights
- Collaborate with game developers, product managers and engineers to productize data solutions
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with exceptional academic credentials (e.g., Mathematics, EE/CS, Statistics, or Operations Research)
- 3+ years of commercial experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, ML Engineer, or similar roles
- High proficiency in SQL
- High proficiency in storytelling with data - using Looker, Tableau or other data visualization tools
- Proficiency in Python
- English level Upper-intermediate+
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with the GCP suite, including BigQuery and Cloud Functions
- Experience working with Airflow workflow management tools
- Passion for video games and/or blockchain technology
