Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Consultant- Capital Markets, as part of Home Lending within Consumer Lending. This Risk Analytics Consultant will support the Pricing Operations teams, with the primary responsibility of leading the overall pricing operation processes including pricing expectations. In this role, you will:
- Lead a team responsible for executing processes in support of the Retail Pricing process.
- Collaborate and consult with team members to review production and quality results as well as provide training/feedback for quality results and/or additional training as needed.
- Consult with business line and enterprise functions on less complex research.
- Present recommendations to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Use functional knowledge to assist in non-model quantitative tools that support strategic decision making.
- Perform analysis of findings and trends using statistical analysis and document process
- Identify and define business requirements and translate data and business needs into research and recommendations to improve efficiency.
- Participate in all group technology efforts including design and implementation of database structures, analytics software, storage, and processing.
- Develop customized reports and ad hoc analyses to make recommendations and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
- Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage for Wells Fargo
- Develop, test, analyze and implement strategies to achieve the financial objective relevant to macro-economic conditions
- Work closely with cross functional team (Tech, Product, Risk, Operations) to drive impact on a given product, problem, or initiative
- Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area.
- Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies.
- Participate in company initiatives or processes to assist in meeting risk and capital objectives and other strategic goals.
- Collaborate and consult with more experienced consultants and with partners in technology and other business groups.
- 2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring.
- Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Experience facilitating meetings.
- Knowledge and understanding of retail mortgage products and pricing
- Exposure to the Wells Fargo's CORE origination system
- Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution.
- Adept in data analysis tools and programming (R, Python, SQL, SAS)
- Strong conceptual thinking and ability to drive clarity in ambiguity while dealing with credit and operational problems
- Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
- Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills based on analytics
- 2+ years of experience creating pivot tables and performing data analysis in Excel.
- This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
