- To develop and document analytical methods as standard operating procedures
- To perform analytical methods in the characterisation of solvent samples
- To prepare samples and accurately quantify their compositions
- To assess and interperet results and data from analyses performed
- To manage the safe operation of analytical equipment
- To troubleshoot and problem solve issues with methods, processes and equipment
- A Master’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant subject.
- Experience of working in a laboratory environment
- Thorough understanding of chemical analysis methods and techniques, including but not limited to: GC-FID, GC-TCD, GC-MS, LC-MS, TIC/TOC, acid/base titration, KF titration, ICP-OES, FTIR
- Expertise in chromatography is highly desirable
- Experience in mass spectrometry is beneficial
- Knowhow and experience in analysing and resolving complex sample matricies
- Display the ability to critically assess data and literature to provide insight to the R&D and technical teams when required
- An expert communicator with the ability to report technical information to a non-technical audience
- Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously to a high standard with minimal supervision
- 24 days holiday per year plus 10 gazette public holidays
