Are you a recent graduate with a degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related analytical field? Are you looking to apply your complex problem-solving skills to real-world business challenges?
The Analyst, WFM Scheduling Solutions is a critical, highly analytical role responsible for the stability, maintenance, and optimization of our enterprise scheduling operations. You do not need a background in HR systems—we will teach you the intricacies of Oracle Cloud HCM and workforce management. What you bring to the table is a logical mindset, the technical agility to learn new platforms quickly, and a passion for optimizing systems.
In this role, you will help develop and implement strategic scheduling plans for a workforce of 15,000+ employees. You will apply your scientific or computational background to analyze scheduling metrics, troubleshoot complex logic errors, and help develop integrations and automations that drive our scheduling solutions forward. This role offers an exciting opportunity to launch your career at the intersection of enterprise technology, data analytics, and operational efficiency.
The Analyst role is hybrid (3 days on site) from Quest's Secaucus, NJ HQ.
Responsibilities
System Analysis & Optimization
- Learn & Apply: Master the logic and configuration of Oracle Workforce Scheduling, applying your analytical background to understand shift assignments, availability algorithms, and complex labor rules.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze scheduling metrics and large datasets to identify trends, process bottlenecks, and areas for automation or improvement.
- Troubleshooting: Act as a technical problem-solver for complex scheduling issues. Dive into system logic, data models, and configurations to resolve discrepancies in shift generation and eligibility.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to leverage advanced optimization algorithms, system features, or custom scripts to drive operational efficiency.
Development & Maintenance
- Release Testing: Participate in end-to-end testing for Oracle Quarterly Release Updates. Apply a methodical, scientific approach to regression testing, ensuring zero-day stability.
- System Health: Monitor background processes, data flows, and automated scheduling engines to ensure system accuracy.
- Solution Development: Work alongside senior technologists to support data integrations (via APIs or tools like Power Automate) and build reporting queries (using SQL or similar data extraction methods) to bridge system gaps.
Business Partnership
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Partner with a centralized group of professional schedulers to understand their operational needs, pain points, and customer traffic patterns.
- Knowledge Sharing: Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly guidance, helping to define and enforce global scheduling standards.
- Adaptability: Stay abreast of industry trends in algorithmic scheduling and workforce management technologies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Learning Agility: Rapidly acquire proficiency in Oracle Cloud HCM scheduling architecture and data models within the first 6 months.
- Resolution Efficiency: Successfully triage and resolve technical scheduling defects, focusing on root-cause analysis and "Time to Resolve."
- Process Optimization: Contribute to at least two significant workflow enhancements, reporting improvements, or automations annually.
- Testing Accuracy: Ensure high success rates in Quarterly Release Update testing through rigorous and methodical validation.
