Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Oversee the ITRS Geneos platform to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Configure and manage Geneos components, including Gateways, Collectors, and Venues.
- Create and maintain Geneos dashboards, monitors, and alerts to proactively identify and address system issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Geneos with other monitoring tools like Elasticsearch and Prometheus.
- Analyze monitoring data to identify trends, potential bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to the monitoring infrastructure.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Participate in incident response activities, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in technology and implement enhancements as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with ITRS Geneos in a production environment.
- Proficient in configuring and managing Geneos components (Gateways, Collectors, etc.).
- Strong understanding of monitoring concepts and best practices.
- Experience with Elasticsearch and Prometheus in the monitoring ecosystem.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation tasks
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
