ABOUT THE JOB

The role is a day-to-day run engineering role that is designed to contribute to the resilience, performance and availability of CAT A systems within Enterprise Technology: API Platforms for the benefit of NAB’s customers. The role is expected to drive improvements across the operational landscape.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines preferably using a tech stack of GIT, AWS, Jenkins, Artifactory and Docker 

  • Experience working with AWS particularly EC2, ECS, VPC, Cloudwatch and Cloudformation 

  • Experience in microservice architectures involving API Gateways 

  • Experience in use of Linux based operating systems such as Amazon Linux and RedHat 

  • Experience with Azure and/or Kubernetes highly desirable but not essential 

  • Execute the development, testing, deployment and refinement of system improvements in line with service and project priorities 

  • Resolve incidents and customer support requests raised in ServiceNAB in line with agreed SLAs 

  • Can troubleshoot, write and optimize code 

  • Can automate routine tasks 

  • Have a systematic problem-solving approach, effective communication skills, and a sense of ownership and drive 

  • Contribute to the availability, performance monitoring, efficiency and features of cloud services, CI/CD and automation 

  • Contribute to incident response, blameless postmortems, and production improvements 

  • Contribute to a high performing team that adapts to change and meets committed timelines 

  • Follow engineering standards and best practices 

  • Proactively manage risk, meet the policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to process and procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified
