Job Description

The Alternatives team is comprised of the research group and client solutions group. We are seeking an Analyst/Sr. Analyst for the client solutions group; however, this is a dual-focused role that will spend time on both client solutions as well as alternatives research. The role will be approximately 60% focused on client solutions and approximately 40% focused on alternatives research; however, this time allocation is dynamic and will change from quarter to quarter. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Support the Alternatives team with client-related initiatives across both discretionary and advisory clients 
  • Assist with monitoring existing client portfolios 
  • Create presentation materials for clients 
  • Perform quantitative analyses, such as portfolio pacing 
  • Support new client solution ideas and handle ad hoc client-related requests 
  • Contribute as an active member of the alternatives research team 
  • Evaluate private markets investment opportunities, including private equity, private credit, and real assets, primarily in North America 
  • Bring familiarity with marketable alternatives, such as liquid alternatives and hedge funds, as a plus but not a requirement 
  • Participate in 3–4 person deal teams evaluating each investment opportunity 
  • Assess both fund investments (primaries) and transactions, including co-investments and secondaries 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Foundational understanding of the private markets industry 
  • Excellent analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative) 
  • Strong business and investment acumen 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Copilot) 
  • Interest in both client service and investments 
  • A self-starter who is independent, hardworking and results oriented 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - the ability to present ideas with precision and conviction 
  • A passion for excellence 
  • An entrepreneurial bent and a “roll-up-the-sleeves” orientation 
  • Organized, thorough and detail-oriented 
  • Willingness to be mentored, ask questions and receive constructive feedback

Additional Information

  • This position will work on a hybrid model out of our Santa Monica or Pittsburgh offices

The pay range for this position is $65,000-$82,000. However, base pay will be determined on an individual basis considering various factors, including location, qualifications, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and a full range of health and financial benefit offerings, which will be provided in conjunction with an offer of employment.
