Value Added Services (VAS) is one of three growth strategies for Visa globally, aimed at diversifying Visa’s revenue with products and solutions that differentiate its network and deliver valuable solutions across other networks.
Japan Value Added Services (VAS) is a newly created function reporting into the Japan Country Manager and the Head of Asia Pacific VAS. All associated capabilities and services will report into the three functions in VAS – Acceptance Sales, Solution Sales and Technical Enablement. These functions together are accountable for both sales and end-to-end technical enablement of VAS products towards all types of clients such as banks, financial institutions, platformers, merchants, wallet providers, etc. The team coordinates across various business functions in Japan such as Client Relationship Management and Client Services, as well as our global offices, to support the business growth of our clients.
What a Analyst, Solution Sales does at Visa:
Reporting to a Director, this role is responsible for selling VAS loyalty solutions to our clients, collaborating with our Client Relationship Management team.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Based on the company and team direction, create sales strategy
- Enhance selling tools (eg slides) as needed
- Work very closely with CRM team and create / manage the selling pipelines.
- Consulting clients about Value Added Services and Visa core technology
- Actively pitch the solution benefits to the clients and sell in the solution.
- Execute successfully in a timely manner with the support from other teams.
- Periodically update the team lead on the progress and challenges

This Associate will be an integral member of the VAS Loyalty Solutions team to drive the payment volumes in the market and bring in new revenue streams to Visa Japan.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
QualificationsWhat you will need:
- A positive attitude and a passion for finding, defining, and explaining solutions to problems
- Strong planning, organizing, managing stakeholders, and communication skills
- 3 years of experience in payment, retail banking or IT industry; project management or product design; delivering new and emerging solutions;
- Understanding the clients challenges and key drivers, opportunities and headwinds
- Strategic thinking, self-motivated and results-oriented individual with the ability to progress multiple selling activities concurrently
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
- Ability to effectively work in and manage cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
- Curious, with a drive to continuously learn independently
- Fluent in Japanese and fluent in English preferred

- Excellent team-work skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Understanding of Japanese payments industry
