Analyst / Senior Analyst, Impact Partners – Indonesia

ROLE PURPOSE

IIX is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join the Impact Partners team in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role sits at the heart of IIX’s corporate finance advisory and platform development work, supporting managers across deal origination, investor relations, project coordination, and enterprise impact assessment.

The ideal candidate brings a finance background, strong writing skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, and the credibility to engage diverse stakeholders — from impact enterprises and investors to government bodies and international institutions. You will gain unparalleled hands-on exposure to impact investing, structured finance, and the rapidly growing sustainable development finance space.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Finance Advisory

• Originate investment opportunities for IIX platforms and programs, and assess impact enterprises (IEs) with a strong focus on Indonesia
• Provide technical assistance and structured guidance to help enterprises become investor-ready; assist in determining and negotiating financial aspects of transactions
• Develop relevant materials including financial models, valuation analyses, presentation decks, and investment teasers
• Actively grow the IIX investor base, build and maintain investor relations, and present investment opportunities to facilitate investment
• Develop product offerings for investors, including pre- and post-deal advisory services

Project Coordination & Management

• Coordinate and liaise project information effectively with technical assistance project managers
• Support project management activities including stakeholder research, vendor management, meeting arrangements, briefing notes, logistical coordination, and internal/external follow-ups
• Update relevant project trackers and support in writing project reports

Research, Writing & Analysis

• Conduct relevant research and analyse trends on key industries and markets relevant to deals and project work (e.g. GDP, trade dynamics, capital flows, sector trends, competitive landscape, systemic and idiosyncratic risks)
• Support in completing meeting notes, internal memos, presentation decks, project deliverables, data analysis, and formatting
• Contribute to writing specific research papers and on-demand analyses supporting business development

Platform Development & Team Support

• Support the onboarding process for investors and enterprises onto the Impact Partners™ platform
• Conduct impact assessments and impact verification processes for enterprises via IIX Values™
• Coordinate site visits, support in developing proposals, and attend business meetings and communication activities
• Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency across assigned tasks

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Management, or related disciplines; a graduate degree or professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CFA) is a strong plus
• Minimum 3 years of combined experience in corporate finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, management consulting, or entrepreneurial ecosystems
• Strong knowledge and skills in financial modelling and valuation (DCF and relative valuation); ability to write excellent investment briefs (applicants will be required to submit past financial models and writing samples)
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present complex ideas clearly before internal and external stakeholders; fluency in English is required
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia; strong written English is essential
• Extensive experience using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with diverse stakeholders across national boundaries — from public bodies to social entrepreneurs to large international corporations

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Direct experience working with investors, C-suite executives, and the entrepreneur ecosystem/business associations
• Direct experience with transactions from deal sourcing to deal closing
• Professional or academic experience with IIX sector specialisations: sustainable agriculture, inclusive finance, renewable energy, technology access, healthcare, education, water and waste management
• Fluency in one or more international or regional languages
• Experience living or travelling extensively in developing countries; field experience working with impact enterprises or international NGOs is a strong plus
