About the role:

MUFG is leading international financial institution in the Oceania market is seeking a Sales Support Analyst within their Global Markets Department, based in Sydney. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly respected organisation with a strong presence across Oceania, offering you the chance to work alongside knowledgeable professionals who are committed to sharing expertise and nurturing talent

What you’ll be doing:

You will be integral to the success of the wider Oceania markets team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve assisting senior colleagues with complex origination and execution tasks while acting as a subject matter expert for derivative bookings.

  • Assist senior team members with origination, structuring, and execution activities across multiple business units, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective delivery.
  • Work closely with Operations & Middle Office teams as a subject matter expert on booking derivatives transactions, providing guidance and support where needed.
  • Drive efficiency by identifying process improvements and implementing solutions that enhance workflow within the department.
  • Adapt working hours flexibly to meet the demands of both regional (NZ, Aus) and international (Asia/LDN) business times, demonstrating commitment to team objectives.
  • Complete regional and local reporting tasks accurately and efficiently, contributing to informed decision-making across the organisation.
  • Undertake various ad-hoc tasks as directed by management or senior colleagues, showing willingness to support team priorities.
  • Help deliver on budgetary targets and key performance indicators by maintaining high standards of accuracy and accountability in all activities.
  • Demonstrate unwavering integrity by adhering strictly to compliance standards, risk policies, KYC/AML requirements, confidentiality protocols, OH&S guidelines, and other organisational procedures.
  • Set up deals efficiently and accurately across multiple channels and execution services, ensuring all processes meet regulatory requirements.
  • Support superior customer experiences by developing and maintaining outstanding relationships with new and existing clients under the direction of the front line sales team.

What we are looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • At least one year’s experience in financial markets such as banking, funds management or corporate treasury is preferred but not essential; recent completion of a graduate rotation is also considered valuable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint enables efficient data analysis and presentation preparation for internal stakeholders.
  • Strong numerical skills paired with meticulous attention to detail ensure accurate deal processing and reporting outcomes.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality customer service experiences demonstrates commitment to client satisfaction at every touchpoint.
  • General understanding of and genuine interest in financial markets supports ongoing learning within this dynamic sector.
  • Superior communication skills facilitate clear interactions with colleagues at all levels as well as external clients.
  • High level of self-motivation combined with integrity ensures consistent adherence to organisational policies and ethical standards.
  • Proactive approach coupled with detailed orientation allows you to anticipate challenges and address them effectively before they impact operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills empower you to build strong relationships across teams while adapting seamlessly to varied situations.
