Analyst –Research & Product Development

This role supports the Research & Product Development Department and is responsible for assisting with the maintenance and development of CME Group’s suite of risk management products.  

The analyst has strong data analysis proficiency and communication skills. 

The analyst reviews the performance and relevance of existing listings and relays that to senior members of the team. 

The analyst identifies market trends through data analytics and research.

The analyst supports senior department members with ad hoc analytics and helps to develop departmental messaging and presentations.

The analyst will develop asset class and sub asset class expertise that can be shared internally and externally to further CME’s business goals.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Prepares reports and analysis on the equity, cryptocurrency and prediction markets.
  • Responsible for assisting with the smooth listing of new derivatives in consultation with the relevant head of desk.
  • Works closely with other team members within Research and Product Development and provides assistance and cover.
  • Works collaboratively with other areas (e.g. Marketing, BLM, CD&S), to implement new products.
  • Assists with the production of marketing content and shares expertise as required.

Skills & Software Requirements:

  • Required: Windows Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Helpful: Programming language such as R, Python

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in business administration (finance, accounting, marketing, economics)

Work Experience:

  • 1-2 years relevant experience is typical

The pay range for this role is $68,100-$113,500. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
