As a Quality Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and company quality standards while supporting the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS). You will analyze quality data, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance product safety and operational performance.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze and report on QMS data, including non-conformances, audit findings, and cost of poor quality
- Participate in or lead investigations and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support and promote the Safety Management System (SMS) and risk analysis activities
- Conduct internal quality audits (system, process, and product) to ensure compliance
- Monitor production processes and changes to ensure adherence to QA approvals and standards
- Track project progress to ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and alignment with timelines
- Contribute to cross-functional projects including planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Review and update quality policies, procedures, and documentation
- Provide technical guidance on QMS, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements
- Promote and ensure adherence to all safety standards and report any unsafe conditions
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a regulated industry
- Experience applying OEM manuals within production or manufacturing environments
- Experience with production processes, inspection methods, and quality control systems
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience conducting quality audits and supporting compliance with regulatory standards
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of ISO 9000/AS9110 quality management system requirements and problem-solving methodologies; certification is an asset
- Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., Transport Canada and other aviation authorities) and industry standards for maintenance and certification
- Familiarity with Quality Management System documentation frameworks, including policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Knowledge of production workflows and operating systems within a manufacturing or MRO environment
- Understanding of gas turbine engine theory and performance; experience with CF34/CFM56 engines is an asset
- Project management skills, including planning, organization, analysis, communication, and decision-making abilities
