Position Description

The Program Trading (PT) Stock Dealer is responsible for executing high-volume, multi-market equity trades across Asia on behalf of institutional clients. The role focuses on efficient order execution, minimizing market impact, and managing basket trades across different time zones, currencies, and market structures. Suitable candidate(s) will start as a PT Dealer, with the opportunity to progress to PT Sales Trader for high-performing individuals who demonstrate strong execution capability and readiness to take on client-facing responsibilities

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Execute program trades across Asia markets in coordination with sales traders, supporting basket execution and client-driven flows.
  • Monitor intraday liquidity, volatility, and market conditions across regional exchanges to inform execution strategies.
  • Optimize trade execution to minimize market impact, slippage, and transaction costs.
  • Coordinate cross-market execution seamlessly across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.
  • Stay updated on market-specific regulations, including short-selling rules, lot sizes, and circuit breakers, to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across all Asia jurisdictions during trade execution and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate trade records and documentation for audit readiness and transparency.
  • Support post-trade processes, including settlement, reconciliation, and resolving operational discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience from financial services/brokerage firm
  • Basic understanding of Asian equity markets and market structure (preferred but not required)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative mindset
  • High attention to detail, especially in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with internal teams
