The Analyst, Product Supply is a key contributor to Panera’s Supply Chain team, responsible for owning assigned product categories and driving supply chain initiatives that support core menu items, tests, promotions, limited time offers (LTOs), and items in transition. This role serves as a liaison between internal teams (culinary, category management, sourcing, operations) and external partners (suppliers, distributors, and 3/4PLs), ensuring supply continuity through proactive planning, accountability, and execution excellence.
The analyst will lead category-level planning, monitor supply health and inventory levels, and support strategic sourcing and distribution efforts. They will also play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and distribution partners, holding them accountable to predetermined performance levels, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting Panera’s broader supply chain goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Lead planning and execution for assigned categories across core menu, tests, promotions, LTOs, and transitions.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure supply readiness, timing for product launches and transitions, and replenishment strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and distribution partners, communicate Panera expectations and timelines for product pipeline fills and transitions, and monitor partner compliance and performance by using tools such as 24TRACC
- Develop and maintain reporting tools and KPIs to monitor consumption data, system health, inventory levels, and supply chain performance.
- Support and escalate response efforts for supply shortages, quality holds, and recalls and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of supply issues.
- Provide ad hoc analyses and insights to support decision-making across departments.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving supply chain efficiency, cost, and service and identify opportunities for supplier and process improvements and innovation.
Qualifications (Education & Experience)
Qualifications include:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain
- Specialized Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in usage of data warehouse tools (24TRACC or similar)
- Solid understanding of inventory & warehousing terminology and motor carrier & other surface transportation management terms and concepts
- Strong in MS Excel. Proficient in Word, Power Point & Outlook.
- Strong in usage of reporting and data visualization tools; proficiency in Supply Chain analytics

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional presence with ability to act as the face of Panera Supply Chain to internal and external stakeholders

- Willingness to occasionally work during off-hours and on weekends
- Experience
- Minimum: 1-2 years with a restaurant brand (purchasing, distribution and logistics, or product planning and analysis), Distribution Operations, Customer Service or Promotional Planning and Execution
Working Conditions
- Work is usually performed in an office environment with normal noise levels. Involves prolonged sitting, and computer usage.
- Work involves travel and visits to Suppliers, Distributors, and 3PL shipping and warehouse facilities (5-10% Travel).

- While performing this job, the incumbent is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear & use hands and fingers to operate keyboards

Competitive pay $76,078 to $106,509 annually.
The actual pay offered will be determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and geographical location. Individual compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
