About the Role

We are seeking an outgoing, detail-oriented, and community-focused individual to join the Alumni Ventures’ platform team as an Analyst supporting our Events and Community department function. Building on the success of hosting 100+ events across the U.S. this year, this role will play a critical part in planning and executing a variety of high-impact events, including roundtables, dinners, networking gatherings, and collaborations with our network.

You will support every aspect of event logistics and communication, ensuring seamless experiences that foster meaningful connections across our alumni fund, focused fund, and portfolio communities. You will learn to provide strategic input, generate innovative ideas, analyze community data, build tools to increase efficiency, and apply creative problem-solving techniques. This is a unique opportunity to help grow and strengthen a vibrant network of founders, accredited investors, and partners through thoughtful and impactful coordination.

What You’ll Do

Event Coordination and Support

  • Play a vital role in planning and executing AV events, including roundtables, dinners, networking gatherings, and other formats. Assist with logistics such as scheduling, catering coordination, space set-up, guest check-in, and communication to ensure seamless experiences for all attendees.

Community and Network Engagement

  • Support the curation of events and content that foster meaningful connections and knowledge sharing across our network of portfolio companies, investors, employees, alumni, VCs, scouts, fellows, and partners. Assist in maintaining resource hubs and communication channels to keep the community informed and engaged.

Communications Support

  • Draft and manage event-related communications, including invitations, reminders, and follow-ups. Collaborate with internal teams to amplify visibility and engagement through all marketing channels. Support the creation of materials that enhance investor and community interactions.

CRM and Data Management

  • Maintain accurate records in HubSpot, ensuring data is up-to-date and properly organized. Track and report on event performance metrics to inform future planning.

Documentation and Process Management

  • Maintain detailed playbooks and templates for digital and in-person initiatives to streamline execution and create efficiencies. Support the documentation of processes and incorporate feedback.

AI and Automation

  • Build tools and automations that reduce manual work and increase team efficiency, using no-code, low-code, or AI solutions where appropriate. Help implement internal systems that tag, track, and optimize community engagement through “vibe coding” and integrated technical workflows.

Office and Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate in-office logistics, including working with vendors to manage meals, snacks, and supplies for the NY office, ensuring a well-prepared and welcoming environment.
 Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Excellent communicator with exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing detailed logistics for both digital and physical events.

  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on execution.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to be super productive working independently as part of a distributed team.

  • Comfort using tools such as Google Suite, HubSpot, Lu.Ma, Canva, Slack, Zoom, and other event management platforms. Prior experience is a plus, but a strong willingness and ability to learn is most important.

  • Technical curiosity and a desire to build; familiarity with no-code/low-code tools (e.g., Zapier) or scripting languages like Python is a plus.

  • Comfortable analyzing data, building lightweight automations, and using spreadsheets to generate insights and support decision-making.

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds, as needed for event setup and teardown.

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for events and travel to event locations as needed.
