Job Description:Dow Jones is seeking a results-oriented Paywall and Registration Strategy Analyst to drive organic audience monetization across Dow Jones media properties, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and MarketWatch. This person will work collaboratively with teams across the organization, including Subscriptions Operations, Product, the Newsrooms, to implement robust audience conversion strategies that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong digital marketing and analytics expertise, understands audience behavior and funnel performance drivers, and thrives in fast-paced, test-and-learn environments.

Responsibilities:


  • Paywall & Audience Strategy: Support the development, execution, and optimization of paywall and audience monetization initiatives that balance audience engagement and subscription growth. Manage campaign setup, targeting, QA, operational execution, and tracking while ensuring a seamless user experience across the customer journey.
  • Registration Strategy: Support initiatives that increase audience engagement and grow the registrant-to-subscriber funnel. Optimize registration experiences and customer journeys to strengthen audience relationships, improve personalization, and create a stronger pipeline for subscriber conversion.
  • Funnel Optimization: Implement improvements throughout the audience funnel, from awareness to conversion, including testing and optimizing paywall and other marketing placements to maximize engagement and drive subscription growth.
  • Experimentation: Support the planning, execution, and analysis of A/B tests and optimization initiatives. Develop hypotheses informed by data and prior learnings and partner with stakeholders to implement successful strategies.
  • Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators and maintain always-on reporting to evaluate the effectiveness of audience monetization efforts. Analyze audience, content, and conversion trends to identify opportunities, diagnose issues, generate actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management: Partner closely with teams across Dow Jones to align priorities, coordinate launches, manage project timelines, and ensure the successful execution of audience monetization initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in audience development, digital marketing, or a related role within the media or publishing industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, content distribution strategies, and audience segmentation.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to execute audience monetization strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the media landscape, including emerging trends and platforms, is highly desirable.
  • Passion for journalism, news, and staying informed about current events.

Base Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000
