Role Responsibilities
As an Analyst, Payroll in Quezon City, you will build strong relationships both internally and externally, collaborating with cross-functional teams including payroll vendors, Benefits, Human Resources/Knowledge Center, Accounting, employees, and other key business partners. A key responsibility of this role is the accurate and timely preparation, management, and submission of payroll data to external payroll providers. As part of the WU Global Payroll Team, you will be delivering the following responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end multi-country payroll processing, including transactional payroll data, statutory deductions, expatriate/relocation/severance payments, garnishments, and banking-related payroll disbursements, ensuring accurate and timely employee pay.
- Perform payroll validation, controls, and compliance activities, including auditing payroll registers, reviewing HCM (Workday) data, ensuring statutory compliance (taxes, benefits, pensions, and allowances), and supporting internal and external audit requirements.
- Partner with vendors, stakeholders, and employees to resolve complex payroll queries, communicate corrections, maintain governance standards, and ensure adherence to payroll policies and deadlines.
- Support payroll operations and continuous improvement initiatives through reporting, process documentation, special projects, and independent management of assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Role Requirements
- 3+ years of payroll experience with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience; strong understanding of payroll processes, HCM/Payroll systems, auditing, and basic accounting principles.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word, attention to detail, problem-solving, troubleshooting, workload prioritization, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll matters clearly, provide superior customer service, collaborate effectively across teams and locations, and maintain accountability for deliverables.
- Adaptable and continuous learner with experience in multinational environments, flexibility to support peak payroll cycles, commitment to meeting deadlines, and openness to new processes, systems, and legislative changes.
Work Shift
