Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, build, own and continuously improve Power BI dashboards, Power Query solutions, and automated reporting using financial and operational data from the ERP and other sources.
- Identify manual, fragmented or inefficient finance and operational processes and develop standardized, scalable and automated solutions that improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Support analytical and systems related projects from initial problem definition through implementation, including gathering requirements from stakeholders across sites and functions.
- Work effectively in ambiguous environments, identifying gaps, and driving projects toward practical solutions.
- Partner closely with ERP Business Analysts to translate finance and operational data and ensure downstream reporting and analytics are accurate and reliable
- Improve data integrity by identifying discrepancies and control gaps, investigating root causes and partnering with appropriate teams to implement solutions.
- Build and maintain reporting and analytics for manufacturing spend, inventory, costing, variances, profitability and other key operational finance metrics.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, cost drivers, risks and improvement opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations for business leaders.
- Develop visibility into slow moving, excess and obsolete inventory and partner with Procurement, Operations and site teams to support inventory optimization and working capital.
- Drive standardization of reporting definitions, processes and data structures across sites to improve consistency
- Develop strong expertise in ERP costing, inventory, and operational data, including how manufacturing activity flows through the P&L and Balance Sheet and serve as a key Operations Finance resource on these topics.
- Create documentation, tools and training that enable the Finance and Operations teams to more effectively use ERP data while improving data integrity and efficiency.
- Challenge existing processes and reporting with a focus on eliminating unnecessary work, enhancing data visibility and accuracy while increasing automation and improving the quality and speed of decision making.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, operations finance, manufacturing finance or related analytical role.
- Experience analyzing financial and operational results, identifying trends and variances and translating findings into actionable insights
- Power BI and Power Query experience, including building reports and analytics from ERP or other business data.
- Experience leading projects or process improvements and working cross functionally to develop and implement solutions.
