Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Managing end-to-end market data services, encompassing vendor relations, contract negotiations, data governance, and stakeholder engagement to support global business needs.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their market data requirements, coordinating with internal technology teams on technical details, and liaising with exchanges and service providers for market data licensing & related documentation & procurement processes.
- Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all market data services using dedicated market data management software, monitoring data consumption across business units, and validating invoices for billing accuracy.
- Overseeing daily market data operations, including user administration (add/remove/transfer), vendor coordination, and managing new/renewal contracts.
- Keeping current pricing schedules for various market data and exchange data products, including display, non-display, and data feed licenses.
- Managing all exchange-related market data audits proactively, negotiating cost reductions where possible, and communicating outcomes with stakeholders and exchanges for audit closure.
- Establishing and implementing internal controls to ensure licensing and compliance, such as license usage reconciliation.
- Preparing and distributing periodic reports and dashboards to business units and management to enable informed decision-making.
- Contributing to new market data projects, including the rollout of display/non-display services, data feeds, and supporting business expansion initiatives
Requirements
- 5-8 years proven hands-on experience in market data management space
- Experience of working with various exchanges across globe and market data vendors like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, MSCI, S&P etc.
- Ability to gain trust and credibility of internal/external stakeholders and manage their differences in views and priorities.
- Experience in using Market data inventory management tools, managing exchange market data audits
- Good understanding of Exchanges market data licensing policies, pricing framework, contract agreements, usage reporting and auditing requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel skills
- Excellent team player, process-oriented, attentive to details, and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills
- Fluency in English, knowing mandarin would be an added advantage
- Bachelor or Master Degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT related area
