The Analyst, Maritime Program Integration supports the Maritime & New Builds organization through data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and cost and schedule analysis. The role identifies trends and provides insights and recommendations to support business decisions. Responsibilities include collecting, cleansing, analyzing, and visualizing operational, schedule, cost, and project data to deliver actionable insights.

Working closely with project managers, asset teams, shipboard personnel, subject matter experts, vendors, and internal stakeholders, the analyst supports the planning and tracking of capital and operational projects, maintains dashboards and key performance indicators, coordinates project documentation and approvals, and helps implement process improvements across the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Data analytics, dashboards, and business insights: Research, collect, consolidate, cleanse, and analyze data from multiple systems; develop, maintain, refresh, and troubleshoot dashboards and visualizations; identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities; and translate insights into concise reports and actionable recommendations for leadership.                                                      
  • Cost, schedule and planning: Analyze and report capital and operational budgets, cost and schedule variance, project lead times, lifecycle requirements, and fleet asset replacement or retrofit forecasts. Develop analytical tools and presentations that support project justification, prioritization, feasibility, and management decision-making.                       
  • Stakeholder, Process, and Coordination: Partner with the designated Sourcing representative to support Request for Quote (RFQ) development, competitive bid and pricing analysis, quotation and scope consolidation, bid negotiation, and award, vendor documentation. Assist when needed on initiating purchase requisitions, invoice coding and reconciliation, and the timely processing of approvals and vendor payments. Collaborate with project managers, SMEs, analysts, vendors, shipboard teams, and technical groups to define reporting requirements and KPIs; communicate requirements and changes; identify workflow roadblocks; recommend process improvements; and coordinate required regulatory and project documentation, including risk assessments, fire certificates, Lloyd’s/USCG submittals, ship modification requests, and project closeout records.
  • Project planning and dry-dock execution support: Conduct pre-project analysis, develop fleet-wide timelines, track milestones and deliverables, and potentially provide on-site dry-dock support with inspections, documentation, scheduling, communications, owner-supplied items, closeout activities, and project workflow coordination.                 
  • Performs other duties as assigned                                                                              

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, including building datasets and creating data visualizations. Internships and relevant educational experience may be considered in lieu of full-time work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Relevant experience supporting project management, project controls, data analytics, business intelligence, marine operations, vessel refurbishment, technical projects, or a similar environment. 

  • Experience collecting and transforming data, building dashboards and reports, tracking budgets and schedules, coordinating vendors and procurement activities, and managing multiple priorities is essential. 

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required; experience with Power BI or Tableau, SQL, Python, and Microsoft Project is preferred.

  •  Must demonstrate strong analytical ability, attention to detail, business acumen, written and verbal communication, presentation skills, independent judgment, and continuous-improvement mindset.

This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their home on Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

    • Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year.  Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
