What you will do
Corporate Strategy team, part of UPM Strategy & M&A team, contributes to the realization of the company’s vision to lead the forest based bioindustry into a sustainable, innovation-driven, and exciting future. As a member of the Corporate Strategy team you participate in UPM’s strategy creation and, through analyses and impactful communication materials, in enabling the group management’s decision-making.
In this position, you will
Contribute to the strategy process by preparing analyses and supporting the team, e.g. through development of UPM's long-term financial forecasts and scenarios
Analyze and develop financial forecasts and related analysis to support decision-making
Assist in financial modeling and business case development for strategic initiatives
Support and manage other development and special projects on UPM group, business area and business line level
Who you are
You have a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent field of studies
You have 3-4 years of work experience in strategy work and problem-solving, e.g. from a management consulting firm or international corporation
You have excellent analytical skills, with the ability to bring them to clear and concise conclusions
You have good organization capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion. Experience from project management is considered an advantage
You are flexible and adept at time management e.g. can easily switch between tasks and adjust plans based on obstacles or changing targets
You value both receiving and giving feedback
You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English
