The Analyst, Legal Operations will serve as a key member of the Company’s Legal Operations team and play a central role in the operational support and management of the Legal, Tax, ESG and Risk Department. This role will report to the Director, Legal Operations and support the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department, including by managing, maintaining and analyzing data to identify trends, patterns and insights to inform decision-making.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with management and working closely across the Company’s departments to advance the Department’s priorities and achieve results. Responsibilities
- Legal Technology & Systems: Support the implementation, maintenance, management and optimization of legal technology tools (e.g., legal billing, matter management, document management and knowledge management).
- Project and Program Management: Coordinate, maintain and manage various projects and functions within the Department, ensuring timely and successful processing and completion. This includes defining project scope, setting milestones, assigning tasks, monitoring and maintaining progress and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Financial & Vendor Management: Help manage, analyze and forecast legal spend. The Analyst, Legal Operations will play a key role in the evolution and administration of our Outside Counsel Management and Legal Billing program.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze and interpret Department metrics to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Process Support & Improvement: Support existing processes, identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and work towards continuous improvement and automation where possible.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders in Information Technology, Asset Management, Accounting, FP&A and other business units to enhance the Department’s operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Proficiency in Office 365 applications; Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Working knowledge of SharePoint, Visio, Power BI and Power Automate preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with legal management software (e.g., legal billing, matter management).
- Experience with litigation.
- Knowledge of legal department financial processes and billing guidelines.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
The compensation available for the role considers a variety of factors including, but not limited to, work location, individual skill set, previous/applicable experience, and other business needs. The estimated base salary range is $70k - $100k.
The above salary range represents Ventas’ good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base salary range at the time of posting and is one part of the compensation and total rewards Ventas provides to employees.
