Analyst, Internal Audit & Internal Control Compliance

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Analyst, Internal Audit & Internal Control Compliance performs risk based audits according to the company’s Annual Audit Plan and analyses the effectiveness of internal controls and standard operating procedures across the company.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Aspect

• Assesses the adequacy and effectiveness of financial, IT, operational and compliance controls of the Company's operations, through the performance of risk-based audits.
• Performs risk assessments across the Company. 
• Recommends improvements to strengthen the overall control environment, based on findings from audits and risk assessments.
• Performs special reviews and investigations as required.

                                                   
Ad Hoc

• Performs tasks and/or fulfill responsibilities that may be assigned by management and/or immediate superior.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' internal or external audit experience, preferably gained from a Big 4 CPA firms. CPA, CIA, CFE, CRMA or other professional certifications desired.
• Experience in gaming, hotels or construction industries will be an asset.
• Knowledge in planning and performing duties on risk-assessed basis and good understanding of IT application and general controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and Computer Assisted Audit Techniques.

Education

• Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Business or related disciplines, with recognized accounting professional qualifications.

Skills / Competencies

• Knowledge in planning and performing duties on risk-assessed basis and a good understanding of IT application and general controls would be desirable.
• Knowledge of COSO model of internal control assessment would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of SOX documentation and evaluation and experience in assessing business risk under AS/NZS 31000:2009 would be an advantage.
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Result-oriented, self-motivated, detail-minded, able to work with minimal supervision as part of a team.
• Energetic, flexible and able to embrace a fast paced working environment.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Filipino.
