Role Summary
The DAM Librarian is responsible for day-to-day management and quality control of digital assets in the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. This role enforces metadata standards, manages uploads (including bulk ingestion), curates and promotes content within the Content Hub and Brand Hubs, provides user training and frontline support, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the DAM meets business needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process incoming asset uploads-approve or reject based on metadata and compliance standards within a 48-hour SLA.
  • Execute and manage bulk upload requests (e.g., agency or partner project files), ensuring accurate mapping and metadata application.
  • Own curation and promotion of content in the Content Hub and Brand Hubs (homepage tile refreshes, featured assets) to keep sites relevant and campaign-aligned.
  • Maintain and improve metadata quality: cleanse, enrich, and standardize metadata to improve discoverability and user experience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for DAM users-provide troubleshooting, first-line support, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Coordinate regularly with brands, agencies, and campaign teams to align assets with marketing plans and use cases.
  • Develop and deliver user training (1:1 and group sessions), host office hours when needed, and create/maintain training materials and documentation.
  • Track and report on DAM usage, upload throughput, metadata quality, and support tickets; recommend improvements to processes and tooling.

Outcomes / Performance Measures
  • Asset review and approval/rejection completed within 48 hours of submission.
  • Brand Hubs are current and display relevant, approved content.
  • Regular homepage/content tile refreshes delivered in collaboration with Marketing Operations.
  • High user satisfaction for training and support; timely resolution of user issues or appropriate escalation.
  • Improved asset findability and metadata completeness over time (measurable via search success metrics or metadata completeness reports).

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 2-5 years' experience managing digital asset libraries, DAM systems, or related content management roles.
  • Hands-on experience with a major DAM platform preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with metadata schemas, taxonomy management, and bulk asset ingestion processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; experience working with agencies and cross-functional marketing teams.

Preferred
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or large enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with brand governance, rights management, and basic image/video formats and standards.

Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to meet SLAs consistently.
  • Training and presentation skills; ability to translate technical processes for non-technical users.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting aptitude.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to prioritize among competing requests.
