We are seeking a talented individual to join our Advisory team at Marsh. This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working as per respective team's arrangement.

Analyst II – Claims & Risk Advisory

We will count on you to:

  • Working with the FINPRO Healthcare Claims & Risk Advisory lead to manage complex, high value claims effectively and accurately whilst developing advisory skills to clients.
  • Processing claims in an efficient and timely manner to achieve prompt early dispute resolution by working closely with insurers and panel solicitors especially in claims reporting and bordereau.
  • Provide immediate legal advice as and when necessary in communication with clients.
  • Draft and distribute claim notifications/reports of high complexity.
  • Maintain on-going professional communication with insurers, clients and solicitors to receive updates, common information requests, instructions or query resolution .
  • Handle non-routine complex issues pertaining to claims processes, escalating where necessary, potential problems or contentious claims. Seeking guidance or advice where necessary to ensure proper processing of claims.
  • Identify potential policies and coverages for incoming claims including performing independent research to seek validation or clarification.
  • Ensure files are updated and missing information is properly flagged and follow-ups are undertaken.
  • Perform research with respect to current legal trends and draft appropriate risk management advice.

What you need to have:

  • Degree qualification in law
  • Preferably with min. 3 - 5 years relevant work experience in legal practice, advantage with insurance and negligence claims experience
  • Ability to review high volume of claims information.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, presentation and competency insurance claims management
  • Strong organizational skills, having the ability to work both independently and also in a team-based environment
  • Display keen interest in clients’ business and drive to achieve clients’ objectives
