The Business Control Function Sr. Specialist, SOX Tester for BMS will be a highly collaborative member of the Finance business team. This exceptional team member will support BMS’s business controls activities in BMS’s Hyderabad CoE, and demonstrate the following attributes:

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience is required.
The position will be based in the BMS’s Hyderabad Location (expected 50% in-person).
Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:
Business control activities
Performs SOX controls testing, providing timely, effective, and prompt SOX testing results
Identifies and assesses financial, operational, and compliance risks to accuracy of financial reporting
Evaluates design and operating effectiveness of key controls related to financial reporting
Maintains accurate and well-organized documentation of testing procedures, results, and supporting evidence
Delivers regular reports on SOX testing status to the Associate Director, BCF Hyderabad Lead, for consumption by BCF Executive Director, AD of SOX Methodology & Program Governance, and Leadership team
Assists in the development of internal control enhancements, both proactively and in response to internal control deficiencies identified.
Actively influences the identification of continuous improvement opportunities in the SOX testing processes
Relationship management and teaming
Holds self and others to timelines, quality, and accuracy
Risk management
Articulates material risks and opportunities and takes an active role in designing and executing response or contingency plans
